How kids learn
Kids learn by watching what we adults do. They also learn what to say by listening to us…that’s a whole separate subject!
This Saturday while Dad was doing chores Gabby disappeared. He didn’t think much of it since he was vacuuming and Gabby hates the vacuum and usually hides when it is out. Gabby appeared about 15 minutes later and exclaimed “Dad, come see my room!” Much to Dad’s surprise (and delight) Gabby had cleaned her room. Cleaned in her own way, but hey she cleaned her room by herself! toys were pushed to the corners…clothes clean and dirty made it close to the hamper. How cool?

How cool indeed. Great job, Gabby. And Greg, great job too! Keep them involved (be the bad guy when you have to) with all the chores, etc. It will definitely make your lives easier down the road. They won’t always be happy about it, but they need to know that it’s everybody’s responsibilty to help out. Mom and Dad can’t do it all. It’s a great life lesson – have fun with it. Remind me sometime to tell you about the “room game” I did with Kev and Troy when they were little. Too bad they won’t play it with me anymore. HA!! You guys are doing a great job. Miss you all. We saw Ava again on Saturday. She’s so sweet. Miss you guys. Hugs & kisses to all.
